Pittsburgh, PA – January 3, 2019—Babel Health, LLC, an innovative provider of an integrated, compliant ETL-based SaaS suite of data management and encounter submission software and services to government health plans, is pleased to announce that KelseyCare Advantage, a 5-star Medicare Advantage health plan serving members in the Houston area has implemented Babel’s fully integrated SaaS ETL data management platform for their EDPS submissions.
By engaging with Babel, KelseyCare was able to gain insight into key areas of their business, including their risk submission work process and staffing model. With Babel, they have a transparent and detail-rich view into their rejection rate, access to rejections and the ability to prioritize and work the rejections. This allowed them to make remarkable gains cleaning up both their historical and current missed or rejected submissions and improve their submission rates for 2015 and 2016 dates of service. Through the transition process, KelseyCare also determined they had not been appropriately staffed and needed additional dedicated staff to work on risk submissions. However, because the Babel interface is easy to use, less senior staff could be utilized, resulting in a cost savings. Additionally, the risk submissions team is now able to provide executive leadership with insight into their business through on demand reconciliation reports.
“For us to accomplish what we have in the last few months would have taken more highly skilled FTE’s than we require with Babel,” state Sarah Dixon, KelsyeCare’s Director of Healthcare Finance. “Prior to Babel, it was difficult to see that we were missing half a year of data, but once we started using the software this became clear immediately without having to do a lot of extra work.”
